Phuntsholing:

Phuntsholing is the border town on the foothill of the Himalayas, Bhutan’s second largest town and the commercial centre. It is an interesting place where people of different ethnic groups gather – the Indians, Nepalese and Bhutanese. It serves as a convenient place for entrance and exit in and out of Bhutan, and is also the link for nearby Indian states such as, Darjeeling, Sikkim and Assam.

Kharpandi Gonpa:

This is a temple founded in 1967 by the Royal Grand Mother Ashi Phuntsho Choden Wangchuck. It overlooks the great Indian plain and Phuntsholing city. Within the temple one can find statues of Buddha, Guru Rimpoche and the Shabdrung.
